Being present allows me to appreciate the symphony of thoughts, feelings and emotions
As I was writing the Daily Brainwash this morning, I felt a number of emotions come up. When I allow myself the space to sit quietly, I am often rewarded with an array of thoughts, feelings and emotions.
Grief and grieving help me feel gratitude
When sitting and writing my Daily Brainwash, I will sometimes get thoughts or images of what could have been. We all have regrets or missed opportunities, when these arise, I give myself the space to grieve and recognize that feeling of sorrow. Once I feel this grieving pass, awareness and then, gratitude, will often fill the void.
I am grateful for the annoyances I don’t have to deal with anymore
I am so grateful to not have a difficult commute or work a job I don’t like. The thought of schoolmates or cowokers is something I do not miss at all. I like to work on what I want to work on and be left alone. I felt such gratitude for not having to deal with things which I do not enjoy.
Closing thought: When I sit with a blank notebook and allow the thoughts to come to me, I am rewarded with great insights, realizations and reframes.
Have a great day and I will see you tomorrow!
